DHCC establishes Emirates Reference Laboratory

Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) announced the launch of the Emirates Reference Laboratory (ERL) under the directives of Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

In line with HH Sheikh Mohammed’s vision, the laboratory, which is a key part of DHCC, will provide UAE and GCC patients with access to efficient, reliable and cost-effective pathology testing services, in addition to specialized services that are currently unavailable in the region. Hamdan bin Rashid to honour Medical Award winners

The 15 winners of the 9th Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences will be honoured by the patron of the award, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, on Wednesday, 14th December, in a ceremony to be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), the world’s largest healthcare free zone, announced the successful completion of its first corporate wellness outreach initiative in line with its commitment to the health and wellness of the UAE community with a focus on workplace wellbeing.

Regulation Announced in Dubai Healthcare City to Encourage Startups, Medical Tourism Services, to Open in the Free Zone

Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA), the governing body of Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), announced a new regulation for entrepreneurs and investors offering services such as medical tourism services, travel agencies, tour services, salons, restaurants and cafés to open their first company within the free zone.

The announcement was made on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market, the leading international travel and tourism event running from 25-28 April, 2016, at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Under the provision of the regulation, companies can now establish a new company in Dubai Healthcare City, the world’s largest healthcare free zone.
