Emirates announced it has signed an agreement with Thales to equip its Boeing 777X fleet with Thales AVANT inflight entertainment system. The airline will work in partnership with Thales to develop and enhance the state-of-the-art inflight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) system to be fitted on its new Boeing 777X aircraft due for delivery starting in mid-2020.

The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature’s popular interactive competitions for school-children are back. The Readers’ Cup and Qasidah par Coeur competitions give students the chance to put their reading and performance poetry skills to the test. Last year 300 teams battled it out at the Readers’ Cup, while 190 students delighted audiences during the Qasidah par Coeur contest.
