The 15 winners of the 9th Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences will be honoured by the patron of the award, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, on Wednesday, 14th December, in a ceremony to be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Sheikhs, officials and representative of the healthcare sector will be in attendance.
The 9th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences will be organised from 14th to 16th December to coincide with the award ceremony.
The conference will focus on gastroenterology, and colon, liver and pancreatic diseases, according to Najeeb Al Khaja, Secretary General of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences.
Fourteen lectures will be delivered and 12 workshops will be held during the conference where around 500 doctors and specialists will attend the event and receive 18 CME hours, or Continuing Medical Education, accredited by the United Arab Emirates University, Al Khaja said.
