Abbott and “Malaria No More” Work Together to End Malaria in Odisha, India

Abbott announced that it is supporting a partnership between the government of the eastern Indian state of Odisha and Malaria No More, providing technology, expertise and funding support to advance efforts to end malaria in the state. 

The partnership builds on Odisha’s success in significantly driving down malaria cases and deaths in the last year. “Zero polio transmission and health for all”, WHO Director-General gives new year’s wish to the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan

WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus highlighted WHO’s commitment to the final push to eradicate polio on a 4-day visit to Afghanistan and Pakistan – the only two countries where wild poliovirus cases were reported last year. He also commended the governments of both countries for their efforts to provide universal access to health services.

Dr Tedros, together with WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean Dr Ahmed Al-Mandhari, met with heads of state and senior government officials in both countries and witnessed first-hand WHO-supported health programmes.

DHA works to achieve objectives of Article five of Fifty-Year Charter

Dubai Health Authority reveals details of Dubai Health Forum 2019

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced the details of the third edition of the Dubai Health Forum 2019 (DHF)— which will take place from January 21 to 22 at the Dubai World Trade Centre— during a press conference held on Monday at the DHA headquarters.

Dubai Health Authority launches Year of Zayed Insurance Card project

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) launched the Year of Zayed Insurance Card project. The project is in collaboration with private sector insurers and aims to provide free health insurance cover to more than 100 people with financial constraints. The Year of Zayed Insurance card will cover a maximum sum of AED 150,000 per person insured.
