Hamdan bin Mohammed meets with Wakamiya Kenji, Japan’s Minister for the World Expo 2025

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, today met with Wakamiya Kenji, Japan’s Minister for the World Expo 2025, at the Japanese pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The Japanese minister shared with His Highness his country’s preparations to host the next edition of the World Expo, which is scheduled to take place from 13 April to 13 October 2025, in Yumeshima Island in Osaka, Japan. The upcoming Expo 2025 will be the third time Osaka will be hosting the global event after two previous editions in 1970 and 1990.

Emirati knowledge, innovation, culture and hospitality are bringing the world to Expo 2020 Dubai, with the total visit numbers now peaking at 17,434,222, an increase of 1.4 million in a week, driven by a spectacular line-up of events and performers.

A star-studded Friday night on 4 March showcased some of the best Emirati talents on offer.
