Abu Dhabi Department of Energy releases policy for electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi has taken a significant step forward in creating the framework to meet the country’s Net-Zero by 2050 strategic initiative with the release of the regulatory policy for electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the emirate.

Announced today by the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE), the policy sets out the stipulations and criteria for establishing a network of electric vehicle charging stations across the UAE capital. Abu Dhabi Department of Energy partners with Saskatchewan

Abu Dhabi’s Department of Energy (DoE) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Ministry of Trade and Export Development for the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada, announced today that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on sustainable energy initiatives.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and partners in ICE Futures Abu Dhabi (IFAD) have today, officially celebrated the first anniversary of trading of the Murban Futures Contract on the IFAD commodities exchange.

Masdar strengthens support for global climate action with significant boost in clean energy capacity

Masdar, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, is continuing to strengthen its support for global climate action, with the capacity of its clean energy project portfolio rising 40 percent in 2021.

The electricity generation capacity of all projects Masdar has invested in – either installed or under development – increased from 10.7 gigawatts (GW) to over 15 GW in 2021, according to the company’s 2021 Annual Sustainability Report.
